I'm pretty well aggravated. I went to a new Chinese place in Athens and they put the leftovers in Styrofoam. The chili oil about ate straight thru. It's ALL over my car (thankfully I put it on the floor) and realizing it, I carefully carried inside and STILL got it on my good shirt and my brand new shorts. Literally the entire hem of the shorts is soaked in chili oil and then transferring into something that doesn't leak a damn water chestnut bounced out and landed right on my shirt. I don't even like the damn things. And it's too dark to clean the car and this is after getting laundry soap all over the back of my driver's seat today when I had to slam on the brakes.

I did go to Athens...every time I do I feel more and more like I need to move there. Yes I'll have a long ass daily commute but I connect with the people there like I can NOT do here. It's less like hillbilly central.

Thanks to wildrider for helping with the steampunk novella. It's much appreciated. If anyone else wants to see it let me know. I still need to figure out where to expand it.

GOD, so glad I am not alone on this. I think whatever severe season blocks adventure and traps you indoors must be where S.A.D. draws a lot of its power. could be winter, summer or just the rainy season. texas is enough to make any sane person hate summer.

Sorry about the Chinese food fiasco. ^^; Don't they do take out? You'd think if the they did, they'd have those lil cartons you get Chinese in. o.0



Maybe it's a sign you'd be happier there, since your quest for housing closer hasn't turned up anything.

My glimmers, with the exception of my bronzes, went from breeding like flies to nothing or an egg of the other parent. And my silvers... *makes a lil noise of disgust* I only got one silver glimmer egg out of it. The rest have been purple ponies or nothing. >.> There's no trick; just luck. I have another bronze egg if you want it.

yes I know I'd be happier over there but it is a drive. no longer than I used to do but i'm getting older and lazier.

*laughs* I can kinda understand that. I'd much rather go for a walk if it's for something like going to the store, than to just up & go outside & walk. And I did get a half-ride home a few times from work from a friend who was heading in that direction. Sometimes the conversation was much more of a pull than the desire for exorcize. XD

I don't mind. The egg hatched, so I can pass the hatchie onto one of your friends if you like. :D I haven't really bred my metallics other than the new shimmers & those are the silvers that are being stubborn. >.>

I've had hot oil eat through styrofoam. (In our case, it was Thai food, but same theory.) I'm always careful about such things now. Sorry about your car.
