And my luck holds
Mom and I went to the casino early (because it was meant to snow tonight so I gave up my seafood buffet for the lunch). there was NO valet open (I think they had call offs for workers) and the garage was so full we had to park on the third floor. No problem. It's a short walk to the elevators so we didn't take our jackets.
One comes up and a guy in it says don't take this one it's broken. But it is the only one that came after three tries. By now the guy in it is gone and two workers for the casino have shown up.
That damn elevator comes again. Mom insists we get in it. I said if this breaks I'm killing you. The four of us get in and it dies. No power at all. It's not moving. Nothing works. We have no coats on so it's freezing. Finally the two workers start prying the doors open. They get it open just a little bit. We haven't moved so we can get out but then they give up.
I get inbetween the doors (in retrospect that was risky) and I shove them. Boom, they open. We can add breaking an elevator to my resume. Don't put me in a box, that's all I have to say.
We had to walk down to the next level (where a different elevator came). The casino was packed. Lunch was pretty good. I lost all my money then won it back at the very end so not too shabby.
