This is a weird day

For the third day in a row I've woken up 2 hours before my alarm and couldn't get to sleep again so fours of sleep....

Sat at the computer because I couldn't sleep and couldn't figure out who the hell the two people with a birthday to celebrate (as pointed out by Facebook) were and why they had the same birthday (It was ELD's sisters).

Put saline solution on my toothbrush instead of past.

FINALLY went to urgent care. So yeah I have an inner ear infection so I have antibiotics, a drug to dry everything out, another to keep the room from spinning and another to keep me from throwing up. That faculty meeting tomorrow will be such fun after four hours of lab with this on top of it.


And then I found out Hyperion's Son has continuity issues I missed. head desk

This birthday party would have been better

without the preceeding faculty meetings. It was my friend TH's birthday and he got to go to dinner with seven lovely ladies :-) Dinner was good (seafood alfredo for me) but man the meetings. I didn't get to our union meeting (I have class then) but it seems that the school is in serious financial trouble, worse than I knew. I'd better get looking for another job, seriously. I'm not sure this university can remain open. They might want us to take yet another pay cut. We get paid so little now I have coworkers with their kids on welfare/medicaid because we're below the poverty line. Doing this was such a mistake. While I'd love to turn back time to stop myself from being injured (or at least having insurance for my hand) I'd settle for going back and not teaching.

THe meeting I DID go to lasted an hour. 45 minutes of it was us arguing over WHEN the meetings should be every month. It boggles the mind.

I hate this.

At least I wrote a little during it.
