I have nothing much to say but I will be back with snippets. I just wish I could get to writing before 1130 most days. OMG what is happening with me lately.

Snippet - Howell ran his hand through his fluffy hair, shoot him a defiant look. “Can you blame me for keeping this secret?”

“I wish I had an easy answer for that. Part of me gets it. Part of me says the team needed to know,” Dan answered honestly.

Averting his gaze, Howell picked at a thread in his torn jeans. “Every time someone has known, I’ve been ostracized or just like you said, I’m a monster. That’s what everyone thinks.”

Dan flinched. “Sorry about that. I was taken by surprise.”

“but you meant it.”

Dan wished he had an easy answer for that one too. “Am I any less monstrous when one compliment from me has the power to kill if I don’t manage it right?” If I’m not careful of my intent the curse will activate?”

“Maybe you’re even more so because you don’t look like a monster. Me, when my blood is activated there’s no mistaking what I am.”

Hearing the worst of him confirmed stung Dan but he probably deserved it after last night. “I don’t know what a Cinbin is and I haven’t had time to look it up.”

“I’m surprised someone hadn’t bothered to tell you when you were looking into me. I guess they just left it at monster.” He sighed heavily. “The Gwrgi Garwlwyd, the man-dog rough-grey was a leader of the cinbin, dog headed warriors who gave King Arthur troubles if you believe the bad press. I don’t know if any of that is true or not. His death thanks to Diffeidell mab Dissynyndawd was considered one of the Fortunate Slayings which I guess is what they’d call what we do.”

“I want to ask who killed him but I’m not sure I could pronounce that.”
