So I went to my first play in about three years. It was The Passion of Dracula which was basically a retelling of the England-set Dracula story. So it wasn't that much different than what you really know other than Lucy was gone and the other female was Helga, a psychologist from Austria having an affair with a local lord who is a friend of Dr. Seward's. And Mina had more agency in the end when it came to standing up to Dracula which was nice. I did really like that.

The play was fun and good but was it 30$ ticket price good? Part of us (I went with my work friends) said no not really but the other part is you're supporting the arts. The set was cool. I did like that. The entire setting was Dr. Seward's home attached to the asylum.

This was up in Chillicothe which is the home of Tecumesh! an outdoor theater dedicated to the life of Tecumesh and probably a lot of the same stage crew/actors because two of the horses were in this and a lot of gunshots. It was cool (50) but man those seats were miserable.

I found a new thing to eat at Red Lobster the 'kung pao pasta' with crispy shrimp. Those were salty and yummy and the kung pao was more sweet-soy sauce with a hint of heat with onions edamame and peanuts. I brought back most of the pasta as I can't eat much in a setting. I did get a big ass pretzel from the concessions at the play which was tasty. They do have a gift shop but all for Tecumesh, nothing for Dracula. Poo.

comments
