Happy 46th Birthday Star Trek!

Happy Birthday to my first love, my inspiration growing up, one of my very first and still most beloved Fandoms. I don't know who or where I'd be without you but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be the me I am today (as lame as that might be). When you turn 50, we're having a big party. (and for those who follow

I'm feeling bad. I wanted summer to die. It came early. It should die early dammit. The low tonight? 78! WTF. And SOOOOO humid. I want to know when I fell through a rift and ended up in

Star Trek was my first real fandom/obsession, and still holds a very special place in my geeky heart.
One of the highlights of my Trek experience was going to see and hear Gene Roddenberry. I thought there'd be a couple of hundred of us there...instead there were thousands. I had no idea I had so much company!
I just read today that the next movie comes out May 17, 2013. :)

Have you played with the Google startup page today? They're celebrating the Star Trek anniversary.
(I should have read the other comments first -- I see you have indeed seen the Google page! :D)

I got to see him once too and it was at a college. There probably were thousands. Pretty amazing isn't it.

My first fantasy life was in outer space with these cool cats. They always saved me from this backwards, thumb-dragging swamp.
