Can't say I envy you! I've never really seen the point of writing scenes I find boring both as a reader and as a writer, but I'll admit that I don't tend to write battles to begin with and I'm grateful when writers skip them or offer short sketches rather than blow by blows.

Oh it certainly does. And it makes sense that it'd be exhausting and/or difficult to learn because otherwise everyone would do it?
