*shudders* Angry/cruel male voices can often turn me into a shadow of myself, at least until survival instinct kicks in. I couldn't have a Dom who was given to anger. It wouldn't work at all. I'd be in a psychiatric hospital in under a week.

And yeah - voice plays a huge role, at least for me. I've never bothered to try to poll how many people feel the same. It's amazing, though, how it takes a conscious decision to defy an order that's given in the correct tone.
