Convention/Writing drabbles

open_on_sunday's prompt was writing and/or conventions so here's a strange little triptych
Xander/Anya - S5 – Saving up
“See, I told you saving wasn’t so hard,” Anya said proudly, eyeing the stack of bills Xander had hidden away in his sock drawer.
“You’re amazing with money.” He planted a kiss on her.
“And in bed.” Anya’s arms circled around Xander.
“Goes without saying.”
“But I like to say.” Anya pouted then added, “What did you save up for?”
“Finally, I’m going to make it to Comicon.” Xander nearly broke into the Snoopy Dance at the thought. All those years growing up, yearning to go and now he could.
“What’s that?”
Xander’s ballon burst. How could she not know?
Angel & Connor post NFA – Cosplay
“Why are you dressed like an idiot?” Angel asked.
Connor scowled. “I’m going to an anime convention. This is cosplay.”
Angel’s eyes swept over Connor’s black outfit and red cape as well as the detailed shell he wore over one arm to look like metal. It was the blond braided wig that bothered him most. Connor looked too much like Darla. “And that means you dress up like an idiot?”
Connor’s scowled deepened. “Apparently so. I’m the Fullmetal Alchemist, a mouthy teen with daddy issues, it just seemed natural.”
Angel rolled his eyes. “At least you aren’t role-playing being a vampire.”
Spike - S4 – Flowing Words
He loved the way words followed. Spike had always been a reader, at least when he’d been mortal. As a vampire he hid that tendency right along with his love of writing. Angelus would never have let him hear the end of it. Still, Drusilla had been his biggest fan. He had filled volumes of poetry for her. He had to confess he wasn’t really all that good at it sometimes. Still, he was better than some of the tripe he saw. All Spike needed to do know was to get someone to look at his script for Passions .
