OH yah.. Bank of America has a terrible reputation. I had one of those cards early on. They started calling my at the time 75 year old father (don't know where they got the number) a month after the accident because I'd missed a payment) and started calling my brother (who is a jerk and does not like me very much in the first place, and I definitely didn't give them his number or name or anything else. I have no idea how they got that information.) and this was over about $1300, that I missed a payment on. I closed the account and get this. They recommended strongly (as in tried everything in the book they could think of, even threatening me with blacklisting me from getting other credit) that I not close that card. At 22% apr? Yah... whatever. I closed it.
BoA is KNOWN for keeping accounts open way after you have closed them, and sending threatening letters, and also for after you pay off balances 'finding' other money that you owe them that you need to pay them as well, or they will by god take you to court and besmirch your good name or whatever. *rolls eyes* I couldnt' get away from those people fast enough.
