So library...well technically the book sale was over but they had the leftovers out with a 'full bag for a dollar sign'. How many books can i fit in a plastic bag? An obscene amount as it turns out. I didn't have sp23's restraint...



Well not really. It was good. I mean, I've never liked this story. I think that has to do with Rose. Her jell-o spined nature just irritates me like a cheesegrater on skin. She really garners no sympathy from me and I hope we stick with the manga enough that we never see her again except for a bit part WAY down the road

What amused me most with this one was Ed's potty mouth and the fact that Aussie TV allows for them to actually translate that out as Fuck. Oh Ed how cleansed is your speech by the time it gets to America?

And seriously if you got your mother back the first thing she's do is soap your mouth.


hmmm can't stablize my sugar tonight. Even though dinner was a rare trip to KFC (reminding me WHY I never eat there) it had breading and a biscuit with honey but my sugar keeps crashing and I've had a TON of sugar since. bah

I love Maus.. they are just lovely.

I loved the translation of Ed's potty mouth too. I don't mind Roze. i think she is weak in order to give Ed the opportunity to show his own strength, and some contrast between them when he says "Stand up, Move Forward. You've got two good legs." because he DOESN'T have two legs. but he found a way to stand up and move forward anyway. She knows that, so in that regard he teaches her something about having her own strength. And i think she does stand up and move forward. later when she appears, she seems to be doing more to help her people rather than clinging to some false religion, hoping to get her boyfriend back and wanting someone to take care of her. Seems like she kind of takes command of Hohenheim and puts him to work doesn't she? So she's kind of a study in contrasts too.

And manga Rose at least grows but i think I was far too soured b y anime Rose/Noa to give a damn by then
