Well...that was frightening

not the show, no how UNPREPARED we were for it. L, my coworker and fellow theatre person said we needed to get to the theatre early (I hadn't planned on that). We got there, so many things weren't done and three or four work tables were still up. In an hour we decorated the kitchen, finished the crypt, broke down all the work tables, hid all that shit, did a walk through to make sure there was nothing pokey or dangerous and get into make up/costume.

My room was done. I turned off the one of the sound effects since it was killing me. Thunder storms and flashing strobes was enough someone constantly screaming non-stop was too much. Unfortunately the one time the director saw me hit my marks was when he was coming thru with the rest of the staff who were laughing so hard it was contagious. Sigh.

Okay, I've gotta ask: what kind of music is "sex in the ancient world"? Are you eavesdropping through a time machine or something?

it was. There was a series several years back narrated by Kathleen turner (I forget the exact title) which was sex in the ancient world that ran for 4 hours (6?) and did all sorts of cultures. It was fascinating and for writers, very helpful

Oh, man. Sorry it didn't go as well as you'd hoped.

luckily I didn't do that in front of anyone who might have been media...

and todays it's pissing down frigid rain. It'll probably be a light opening night
