was there anyplace in America that didn't have totally sucky weather.

Really our big celebration was last night with my brother and then there'll be a party next week for the whole family since we're rather scattered. Today was supposed to be snacky time with grandma, my aunt and uncle and the cousin who lives locally. After she was an hour late we call her and they're sick. You'd THINK someone would have called and told us. Geez...

Last night we did open gifts so I'll put up some pictures. I got a TON of tea from my brother and mom and my friend flippy. I'm set for a while. I got the first season of the Ghost Hunt anime (my brother whining he's probably on some mailing list now) and he got me the very expensive Historic Ales of Scotland gift pack (whoo hoo). Grandma got me a netbook. WHee. Mom didn't get me the Wii because she said i'll never do anything but play games if she does.

evil_little_dog got me a couple of cute Roy figures and a stuffed vampire bat among other things and Flippy raided the huge new Asian supermarket for every goodies known to man plus found MesoAmerican stone ground chocolate with chilies which is delicious (and buttered rum mix)

rain_oubliette I'm gonna put those lights in a vase and put them on the window sill. the card is lovely.

Japanese pillow This needs references. I did the crewel work on this back in 86. It was my first attempt at crewel work. I'm surprised it came out so well. I've been asking mom where she had this stashed since i wanted it. She turned it into a pillow for me
