otherwise here has been my week

Monday - TH asked me to help him dispose of the stuff from the defunct medical lab tech program's lab. Box said biological buffers so we weren't wearing gloves since these wouldn't be harmful. In the bottom of the box were silver foil packages some of them ripped containing BACTERIA. OMFG. Gonorrhea! If I get gonorrhea from this...

Tuesday - Sliced open my forearm in the lab prep room's hideously filthy shelving. Thank god I have my tetanus up to date.

Wednesday - CoM come see this box from hell (and if I find who used to do the MLT program I'm gonna kick them in the head). This time wearing gloves TH and I open the parasitology boxes. i could use this stuff. Only the rubber stoppers have distinegrated. Let's just say gloves only cover so much of your arms. Ascaris and liver fluke eggs.

TH - we're okay right? It's in formalin.

Me - Formalin doesn't kill the eggs. they're resistant. If I get intestinal worms and liver flukes....

I dread coming back to work tomorrow.

ETA - Today- Power went out during the exam. My website wouldn't allow me to add things to it. My printer's color inkjet exploded inside it. GO ME
