Here's my entry for the April 1st Buffy ficathon. I ended up writing for my roommate (as seems my lot in life. But of course that makes it easy). I had to write Buffy/Angel and as per usual those two wouldn't behave for me. She also wanted Dawn written into a pre-Dawn year.

Love this story. Just so many great bits - the subtle reference to Angel vamping Holtz' daughter and Buffy's deliberate decision to ignore it. The vampire villan himself - very creepy and yet his sick motives were quite understandable. Buffy's fears about Angel and Dru's relationship/bond. Dawn - bratty and young and stupid and vulnerable and full of misplaced bravado all at once.
