Woman's Day and writing

I did something to mark the day though it was inadvertent. Today was the lobes of the brain lecture and I always talk about how the suffragettes were sometimes put in asylums and/or lobotomized and then I've seen this video all over my flists and it seems they knew it too.

I've started my fma_slashfest stories (well one) and I'm thinking on my CYA story. I've joined remixers_lounge. Last year someone did a really good remix of one of my Faith stories. I'm going to pick something at springkink and evil_little_dog did a listing of all the FMA prompts on her journal. Plenty of other fandoms. Also going to be doing fma_cya

I haven't forgotten marlex or winters_queen I promise I haven't. I will write your stories.

I think I might have to let my geeklove story go. I'm not sure i have time for it and the scarred soldier and the latter is more developed. Did I mention that I sent back my edits to my novella The Darkest Midnight in Decemeber i'll keep you updated with the publication dates.

Also as a shout out to enemytosleep I had some free time at work to eat lunch and I used my big screen new computer to learn that Hulu has high quality subs of Fairy Tail (48 episodes worth) up. I watched just part of #5 (omg staring at computer screens give me eye aches and neck aches, I don't know how you all do it). I'm not so sure I like the anime art but it followed that episode very well so bonus points. btw I'm up to chapter 130.

Fairy Tail is really good about following the manga, and the few filler episodes (someone at the comm said 7 of 120+ eps so far, but I haven't verified that number) are referenced later on and follow the feel of the series well. I really love this show. :D

you and I have had this conversation before. You know I love it when they follow the manga with only a little filler so I do like that about it. There was something about the faces I didn't like. It's almost old school 1980's feel to it for some reason. I like naked Gray though. I should figure out which episodes are the ones where we learn his history and watch them (since I obviously can't watch 48 episoes at work)

Woman's day seems to be a big deal in Romania. I've gotten a flower from everyone of my Romanian male co workers. Not to mention March 1st talismans to assure the rebirth of spring. It was unexpected, this is still a pretty male centric misogynistic place, or so it seems work wise. Certainly all the people in charge are the menfolk, and all the work and thinking is done by women, at least within the the walls of my experience here.
So it was funny how genuine and kind of celebratory the flower giving was.
I suppose I should be more cynical about it all,but for today I'm just going to enjoy my gifts and flowers..
