A quote I vaguely remember from my Edith Hamilton's Mythology: "May you never behold me sharing the couch of a god, never! To war with a god-lover is not war, it is despair." I don't recall what she was quoting.

Zeus hardly ever stuck around, except for the kids. Love the Greek gods, truly, but they were dicks when they dealt with humans. Except for Cupid, with Psyche, and Dionysus, who married Ariadne after she had been dumped by Theseus.
