Happy Thanksgiving.

Photobucket

Happy Thanksgiving to my friends who celebrate. I'm relaxing before going into the kitchen. I'm making my own private feast.

What I don't say enough is that I'm thankful for great friends like you guys so THANKS.

I'm thankful for my family, including the insane furry ones (one of whom keeps attacking my elbow for the hell of it), and for the job even as goofy as it can be some times because it's enough to allow me to have most of the things I want and keep the shaky shack over my head.

The list could go on and on. Let's just say, thanks for it all.(and I admit it, I love Norman Rockwell)

My stomach hurts

And I only ate little bites of everything. Yikes. It's been a lazy day. I do not regret one bit staying home alone. I watched movies, failed at writing and took forever to carve out that little bastard of a pumpkin.

I tried to catch the cats being cute. THey were sleeping head to head on the floor by the computer. By the time I got the camera on them Soul was biting off his brother's face.

The dinner did come out even though there were a few bumps (as in who knew it would take me forever to ready the veggies).

There's pumpkin soup (in the pumpkin), brined turkey breast (I see why [livejournal.com profile] wildrider is a fan of brining), wish it had more skin on it to get nice but whatever, sweet potato casserole, pan gravy, ghostly asparagus roasted with olive oil and lemon, and the stuffing muffins didn't happen because i learned my sink is leaking into the cupboards below and all my damn muffin tins are rusted. whee. (Not pictured, pumpkin pie, the only thing I didn't make from scratch).

I really did only eat a little of all of it (and this will be my meal for the new few days).

I hope you all had a good holiday. I'm going to try and write but it was not going well earlier.
