randomness

I HATE my glasses. I have no peripheral vision and damn if the wall to my secretary's office didn't leap out from the side and bite me hard. Crushed my glasses right into my face...right in front of the head of the dept. hey what can I say. I couldn't see the wall.

I made a border run today into Point Pleasant with three dollars. The lottery is over 210 million. A dollar for me, one for mom and one for [livejournal.com profile] evil_little_dog of course no matter which ticket wins I'll claim it's MINE and dole out gifts from it. I offered to play for my secretary but she didn't trust me to not tell her HERS was the winning one. Does she know me or what?

I enjoyed having House back finally. THough that one cut a little too close for me since hello, staring the endometrial biopsy in the face next week and the horrors of what going back on birth control might do (I'm high risk) and not to mention I've been on the side of waiting for the lab report after an AIDS patient spat blood in my eye back in 93.

210 million? Woah.

[identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
if I win....well i can't even fathom that kind of cash

Ouch on the wall bumping into. I do that alot. Im probably the most clumsy person I know.

And 210 million? totally worth it.

it was so worth the 12 miles out of my way (one direction) to get the ticket. Oh I run ito walls all the damn time

Going back on birth control, huh? Hmmm?

[identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
the only way we might be able to control my weight and blood sugar is to control the insane hormones from the cysts on my ovaries, the only way to do that is to dumb them down with external hormones.

However I've developed blood problems two separate times on BCP's so I'm high risk

I recommend Yasmin. It works very well with my PCOS, and doesn't cause weight gain. Been on it for a couple of years, and managed to get down to (and stay) a size 6.

That's the one I was thinking of because it's lower dose. She was thinking the vaginal ring and I'm thinking I don't like that idea

[identity profile] sita-137.livejournal.com 2006-02-09 04:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Those are icky. For one thing, I couldn't get mine to stay put - or at least feel like it was staying put. Also, I didn't like the acrobatics of trying to get it inserted in the first place. I'd need help and a 3-ring circus to do it properly, no matter what the fancy brochure said.

Yasmin's a great way to go. And seriously no side-effects.

I will tell her that. I figured that ring wouldn't stay in place. hell my body does everything it can to rid itself of tampons I can't imagine keeping that ring in there

[identity profile] sita-137.livejournal.com 2006-02-10 01:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, maybe it has something to do with having a tilted uterus, but it did not work out.

[identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com 2006-02-10 06:43 pm (UTC)(link)
that's what I figured would be a problem. There's this odd cant to the whole system. Besides, i take so many pills I won't forget it

[identity profile] evil-little-dog.livejournal.com 2006-02-09 02:31 am (UTC)(link)
And we're GONNA WIN, too! *rebel yell*

And then we'll both get rid of our glasses and go on that trip to Wales and Italy and Oz and....

[identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com 2006-02-09 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
Mom's planning a trip to Hawaii that's only 10 grand a week

[identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com 2006-02-09 03:11 pm (UTC)(link)
She's joking but the price isn't. She was watching the travel channel again

[identity profile] sita-137.livejournal.com 2006-02-09 04:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Always dangerous... I stopped watching anyone but Rick Steves once I realized the rest of them were of course having a marvelous time because they were spending as much as I make in a year on their 2-week vacation.

[identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com 2006-02-09 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
yeah that's why the only thing I watch there are teh haunted programs

[identity profile] evil-little-dog.livejournal.com 2006-02-09 03:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Only ten grand? Piker.
