All sorts of stuff

First off CONGRATS!!!! To my brother (who wanted to know who all the 'freaks' were commenting on my new red couch, ah the perils of showing relatives your journal) who just graduated today with his doctorate in physical therapy. So know there's TWO Doctor Evanses. Our parents should be thrilled.

I got half my garden's mulch put back around it. Hopefully tomorrow I can get that done and send pictures. Note to the furry creature that thinks he's mine. Dear Roy the Cat, I can NOT work in the garden with your 'help' Your head is in my way. I do not have time to pet you. You do NOT need to inspect every hole and grabbing the weeds AND my skin is not conductive to anything. Please just sit under the chair and purr or something. And I need even MORE top soil to get everything I have planted. sigh

I should be working on fiction. I'm doing much of nothing instead.

It is astonishing how fast bags of soil disappear.

No kidding. I just added up how many pounds I've already used and it's like WOW.

[identity profile] mzzgoddessblue.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 02:16 am (UTC)(link)

the orb one. He asked did I actually know you (as in face to face) I said no, but maybe I'll go to Oz and visit her some day. His response 'she'll probably cut off your head and bury you in the Outback

What is it with non-internet people thinking we're all ax murderers? I've met a lot of my LJ friends in person, and *they've* been warned by their relatives not to go to the big Gathering 'cause they'll be kilt ded!

We actually had an ax-murder orgy party in Chicago in 2004 to laugh and chortle at the dumbness of it all.

mostly he was kidding since he knows I've been meeting pen pals long long before the internet rolled around but seriously tell someone you're internet dating and they're sure you're off to meet a serial killer

I've been internet dating for a lot of years now, and no one has pulled an ax on me yet.

[identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 02:15 pm (UTC)(link)
ditto. Though I do confess to keeping date #1 to a very public place and not giving them an address until after meeting them but I'd do the same with a guy I met at a social function

Me, too. Basic common sense.

[identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 02:38 pm (UTC)(link)
which I've found is neither basic nor common

I think Roy and Archie should get together and start a landscape gardening firm. ;-)

[identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 02:19 pm (UTC)(link)
We should include Rogue, one of [livejournal.com profile] evil_little_dog's evil little dogs. She has a thing for weeds

[identity profile] ninerva.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 02:47 pm (UTC)(link)
We could hire other dogs and cats, I don't think they come under the minimum wage laws in either country, cheap labour, and they are doing something they love to do. :-)

[identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com 2006-05-14 02:51 pm (UTC)(link)
well in that case let me suggest a few border collies to keep them in line and a passel of Jack Russels for the digging
