Sick and annoyed
Spent the afternoon in the Doctor's office and while I am grateful they could work me right in, i've ended up ultimately annoyed at life.
a) I have viral sinusitis/bronchitis which means they can't give me anything for it. I knew that going in but I wanted to be sure. Sigh
b) this doctor is the new partner to my doctor and he seemed to think he's taking over all my care (no) which I can't fault him for that until we hit the issue of weight. I've no trouble talking about this but the 'yeah right, you don't over eat look' really pissed me off because I don't. And if we're going to talk treatment, you'd best at least listen to me.
c) I had to cancel my surgery AGAIN so I'm really upset. I call home and leave mom a message so she doesn't start packing to come down here tomorrow. I tell her they can do it the first or the eighth just in case there's something she can't get out of on the first.
d) mom calls me back yelling at me because I left that message because Dad's running around the house saying 'tell her it has to be the eighth because I want to get the painting done.' Now I'm furious. This would have been already dealt with if he didn't make me reschedule this appt once already. I can't believe he's trying to be THIS selfish. I told mom I'm working again by the eighth and I don't wnat to miss two days of summer school for this.
She's mad at me for getting sick so she can't get out of the house and now she has to listen to him bitch about everything. It must be REALLY bad at this point because just a few months ago she was upset that I wasn't willing to spend ALL summer at home. Now she doesn't even want me back for more than a few days. Nice to know I was right and Dad's being that miserable. As it is with this rescheduling four days will have to be knocked off my trip home. Mom's like 'who cares.' i.e. good thing or there's be a fist fight in my household if I were there all two weeks.

Found out today that sugar free whipped cream is now being made...at nearly 4$ a can. Looked at the regular stuff for a 1.50$ and it has ONE gram of sugar, uh for that little sugar I'll save 2.50

and my fellow prof here related a story that goes to your Bar/Bat mitzvah one, her doctor's receptionist's son wants to go to college. He's a senior. His mom didn't know he never bothered to take the SAT. Amazing.
