the twists and turns of my mind

I head out into the snow (since well the flurries were light and since it's been in the 50's nothing much was sticking to the roads) to the Krogers. They have artfully arrayed big boxes of something called packzis. I picked them up and read the box, which details the Lentian tradition of Poland in which these jelly-filled donuts play a role in. I put them in the cart, as if I need that much sugar and fatting crap. A tiny voice says you don't even like jelly donuts but its drowned out by history and old world tradition. I move right along and find a king cake.

My luck turned for the worse in 1992 when I accidentally bit the head off the golden baby in a Madri Gras king cake. Thinking to banish the curse I buy it for the office. I looked around and see powedered sugared packzis and replace the glazed ones I had.

By the time I pass the third display of them I finall put them back thinking honestly you HATE jelly donuts! History be damned. Haha

Speaking of my mind, I dreamt about my baby again last night. This time I was teaching...a writing class of all things. We were brainstorming some prompts when a coworker came in, looking just like Mohinder Suresh (so whee. Let's hope he was smarter than Mohinder). The dream mushes up at this point and later I'm married to this man who looks like Mohinder with a baby like days away but we had to solve a murder mystery before we got killed. Go brain go.

And Kyo my fluffy boy, hiss and spit all you want, I'm still just going to laugh at you when you punk poor sleeping Roy and he kicks your butt for you.

okay back to synopsis making and test writing

Mmmm, King Cake....

Yesh, share that cake with the office. (Why can't I find King Cake LOCALLY? You're even more podunk than I am.)

and could serve whutyuk stew, I'm sure, and be considered high cuisine.

Hee, Mohinder. You weren't kidding either when you said your brain likes to kill you too. >_

[identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com 2009-02-23 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
all death all the time, that's my brain

I'll never understand the world of Brain Theater.

[identity profile] mulzrule.livejournal.com 2009-02-24 03:45 pm (UTC)(link)
That's probably the safest thing to do in my case.

I was lucky this weekend. [livejournal.com profile] tiirz and [livejournal.com profile] edgedancer invited everyone over for homemade gumbo and king cake. OMG. Delicious!

Sigh. Mohinder is hot, but oh so dumb. A guy who looks like Mohinder but has a brain would be lovely.

Hee! your stories about Roy and Kyo make me laugh. Silly cats.

that sounds so good

Mohinder is hot and yes so dumb

Good for you putting those things back. You didn't need them. I'm proud.

[identity profile] cornerofmadness.livejournal.com 2009-02-27 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
i sure didn't well i DID mean to take them to work (no one there needs it either) but if they didn't go then i'd b e stuck with jelly donuts that I do not really even like.

to be honest the king cake was boring too
