cornerofmadness | dreams and testing

i don't remember the whole dream last night but I was dreaming I was very late for a medical exam.I actually worked at the hospital and I was racing around because people wouldn't leave me alone so I could get to my appointment. Mom was there too because she needed to drive me back. WHen I finally made it there, I had forgotten I was supposed to be NPO (nothing by mouth)and I had had breakfast and couldn't have the test.

At least i know what sparked this dream. I have a gastric emptying test tomorrow. My doc made it for 730 AM but it got changed to 1 pm. I know why she made it so early. As a diabetic I'm not supposed to be NPO that long. Oh well. I have to eat and I quote 'a hearty meal of egg mixture with tracer in it.' Yay. Sounds yummy. The whole test takes hours and hours. Wonders if i have to sit under the machine all that time while it watches like that gallbladder test or if i can leave the clinic and come back.
