interesting monday

my students didn't WANT to take off wednesday so I'm teaching and then heading back to PA. Go figure.

one of my former students who is now in D.O medical school in Athens stopped by today. She and I talked for an hour. It was really good to see a successful student and she is so happy in her chosen path, I'm very glad for her.

My characters inform me they think i need to make this a series of mysteries. Where's my gun?

and look at the great art i got for my prompt at [livejournal.com profile] springkink

Ed and Winry, cooking

almost there -

47178 / 50000 words. 94% done!

i just wish the other characters would gel alittle bit more. Placid has been a show stealer. Which is so weird since in the short story i adapted this from it was Melantha who was the lead character

Sounds like a good Monday, indeed. Or something.

Isn't your gun there, in the cookie jar?

My characters are yelling at me to turn my mystery/comedy into a young adult novel. I've never written a YA novel. WTF?

hahaha hey the YA market is hot. I ended up doing three so far. go figure

This book could go either way, but since the primary POV character is a 15 year old girl, it would fit. The question is, can I put myself in the mind of a 15 year old well enough to pull it off?

i know the problem. for my YA I'm in the pov of a 16 yo Boy

Why do we do these things to ourselves?

apparently writer = masochist

Something all writers figure out pretty quickly....
