rambling... I went to work with something to put on the dept. meeting agenda in Jan and as soon as I told my chair i had something...i forgot. I STILL don't know what it was.

Had a bizarre dream. I hate waking up with like 2 hours or less before my alarm. I always end up with weird dreams and then i can't sleep. I dreamt I was working at a school, (I think it was Ohio Unversity but it was nothing i recognized) and visiting mom who was taking care of grandma with another old lady. They were both in the same bed but the one old lady was wrapped in the bedding and I couldn't see her. Grandma was being her usual b itchy self but when she rolled over to get some sleep and ignore me, she flipped ALL her organs out over her shoulder so she could get comfortable AND she had this diamong cut out of the small of her back so you could see inside her that way too.

At the school, I was in the underground parking which was an old stable from 200 years ago and I saw the prejudiced bitch, the one i avoid at the holidays and she told me there were cats to adopt. There was this really dirty russian blue/white tuxedo cat who kept wanting me to pet her then she started TALKING to me (which didn't seem odd in the dream) then she got up on her polydactyl feet and I knew I had to adopt her.

And all through this dream the whole 'you must wake up because your alarm didn't go off' kept threading thru my mind but i couldn't move to roll over and check the time. weird crap

Holiday stuff- got a lot of cards addressed and my gifts are half ready to go. One last go around on the card request. holiday card request

Fanfic- I reread my

fma_bigbang and i really think it's one of the better things i started in a long time. on the other hand the

fireandice09 story...less exciting to me right now and I need to get an idea for the

fmagiftexchange I did get a big boosted today when someone found my Royai archives and is burning through it, saying she fell in love with my writing. Ineeded that. Lately i've been feeling like I stink (I know i don't but sometimes I think most writers fall into this mind set). Also since i DO perform better with accountability, I'll be putting up word count meters, just scroll on by

Wow...and I thought I had weird dreams.

It is frustrating when you can't remember something. I've done that. I'll be in my bedroom and it's something I want to tell my roommate and by the time I go the whole ten steps down to talk to her in the living room (not even 1-2 mins) I'll have totally forgotten it.

I STILL don't remember what it was but i had forgotten I had forgot it until now...

my dreams are freaky

Wow, that is a freaky-ass dream. David Lynch would be proud. I have some weird ones but tend to forget them if I don't write them down. I had a good one after seeing Shaun of the Dead which involved my friends and I similarly being involved in a zombie apocalypse. I got bitten while giving a friend of mine a leg up through a window, and had to be shot for my own good before I became one of the undead. I was sure to tell her the heroic sacrifice I'd made for her next time we met.

I am super-excited for giftexchange. What a lovely bunch of prompts! I wrote a big chunk of my fic in a burst of enthusiasm but will have to redraft a lot, I'm sure. Excited to see what someone does with my prompt too.

that's a great zombie dream. I'd probably end up leaving my friends behinds.

I'm trying to be careful with the gift exchange, that i don't conceive an idea too big to finish in the alloted time (yeah I wrote 50K in a month but still...). Also playing the 'i think i know who this might be' game and trying to figure out what would please the most.

Yes, some of those, especially the post-Promised Day romance fics, had the potential to get quite epic. As for me, I've just been trying to keep it from getting too smutty for an R rating. I think I'm safe now, but I decided that if it went too rude I'd just have to cut the really naughty stuff out and instead just cut to a shot of a roaring fire or a train roaring down a tunnel at an appropriate moment, old Hollywood style XD.

I think I know who I'm writing for. XD Also my prompts are probably fairly obvious. XD

Am curious about Big Bang smut if this is the one where Maes and Gracia have a month-old baby and there's OT4. Gracia would obviously be rather busy and Maes would be kind of sleep-deprived. Does this mean Roy and Riza are very bored and have to find something to do with themselves? XD

But at least they get to cuddle a sweet little new baby? (two of my friends just had a baby a couple of days ago, so I have babies on the brain at the mo). Although I imagine Roy would actually be rather scared if you gave him a baby to hold. If I were writing that story I'd have Elysia sick on his jacket in short order, and then possibly make him forced to change her nappy too, just to torment him. The first time I changed a baby's nappy, he pooed in my face. Thanks, baby.

hahaha definitely awkward!Roy with baby is in the works. I think Maes tries to get him to change the baby but Roy's having none of it.

I'm sure Maes will end up covered in baby poo and posset too, but of course he'll think it's charming. I have friends who actually boast about how far their babies can projectile vomit.

In fact, until my friends started having babies, I thought Hughes' starry-eyed obsessiveness was exaggerated for comedy purposes. But no, apparently it's about average. XD

Oh yes, Maes is pretty much average. He and Roy have already been in one argument over whether or not Roy had been made to suffer this set of photos

My friends with the new baby have already started the photo-spam of cuteness (I don't really mind, though - baby is charming). Maes would be thrilled by the spamming opportunities offered by email and Facebook.

You know, all the Maes stuff got to me much more in Brotherhood because since friends have had kids I see a lot of them in him. Sniff.

I'm all excited to meet friends' new baby again now.
