Finally home

cornerofmadnessIt was a weirdly frustrating trip getting to Indiana and just as weirdly frustrating leaving it. I stopped right in town for gas. Started Naru back up and the low tire pressure gauge was on. Um…damn. Get out, look at the pumps, no place to put in money to turn it on. It’s been so long since I’ve seen free air I had to go inside and ask. Filled tires. Light still on. Fill tires. Light still on. Brain cell sparks, hey idiot you DO have a tire pressure gauge. Dig it out, call Dad. He says sometimes the light gets stuck on. So does the literature. I check tire. WAY over filled. Spend forever uninflating them. Light goes out. Nowhere in the literature does it say the light will indicate too much pressure which IS a cool feature but still.
So an hour after I expected to leave me and Naru are rolling along. Maggie the Magellan is either possessed or bored and wants to see new landscape since she found yet another new way out of Eville (she found how many new ways in Indy). I was laughing that I hit the ‘home’ feature on Maggie and she took me to the airport. Apparently she didn’t want to drive home. It was a nice way out of town though, not too many lights.
In spite of the weather channel’s dire predictions, there was no rain. I picked up Ling. He howled for the next 15 miles. The boarders loved him but kept mocking me for having the cat with the hollow leg. All he wanted to do was eat. He was well named I guess. Got home to see all my porch stuff in the grass. They are A) power washing the building B) replacing the bad porch so it’ll be out there a while. I have a big tomato on my plants which did just fine. However, the power wash went under my crappy doors front and back so the living room and kitchen are also power washed….
Ling and I are chilling out. I’m exhausted. I had fun but I’m glad to be home. I’m not sure how to handle having a BIG computer screen again.
