Wow it's been a few weeks since I've had time to make a post. I can't even say I've been writing that much in all that time. I haven't. Then again you know where I was so it's to be expected.

I look at all the other writing blogs I see, the ones filled with so much good advice then I look inside my own head and wonder 'do I really have anything to add to this?' The answer is probably no. I'm not too worried about it for this blog but soon I would like to give my writing persona something to write about in her blog (not Jana, but my non-erotica pen name. If I get serious about some of these stories I have roaming around I'll need that blog too)

So instead of insightful stuff, I'm going to ramble about crap. Mostly, nano planning. We're already half way thru the year. HOW did that happen? It's not too soon for this. I decided that unlike last year I didn't want to start something new, as well as that worked for me (I'm still working on Beneath the Torn Sky). No, I have several half started stories and I should pick one of those and work on getting it done.

I dismissed the zombie-like thing, too new. Similiarly I put the kibosh on Makai and Killian's stories. They're really almost done. There's not 50K left between them.

That leaves me these three, two of which I just posted up the first chapters a few weeks back.

Yukio's story, a former nano that was done while I was working on an even more former nano so each only got minimal attention. This is the story of a soul conductor. A short story for this universe, Do Nothing appeared in Nothing But Red, the charity anthology. This is the one you like, [livejournal.com profile] bob_fish

Then there's the Living Goddess story I mentioned. I could start outlining on it I suppose. I do like those characters.

Lastly there's Rasia and Talin's story. I even have an outline made FOR me by [livejournal.com profile] silvrethorn after seeing snippets on [livejournal.com profile] nanomowhinging and us talking about it at Breyerfest a couple years back (i think I can find that outline). It's a mix of 1920's tech and magic and like the living goddess story has bad royals on the throne. My story Unquiet Ghosts will be in the upcoming anthology Like a Sacred Desire

So I know there is a market for at least two of these. Hmmm. What to do what to do. The first two do have chapters up on my original fic filter. the last doesn't have a chapter, just snippets.

I have started a new story for [livejournal.com profile] circletpress's open call. Luckily it can be short. Hopefully they'll like it. I said no more open calls and naturally I lied. Really I DO regret not trying for DSP's 'making contact.' It was freaking SF. For once I'd have a story that DIDN'T stand out like a sore thumb in an anthology as like the only non-contemporary story in the bunch.
