and if you're from Pittsburgh you'll know just where I was. I met rain_oubliette who was in town for a convention. I quickly learned that the center of pitt is now totally cut off from my part of the world. they have it torn all to hell there.

We went out to dinner which was a trip. We googled the places in con prepared for the conventioneers which was fantastic btw. Unfortunately this is theatre row and the restaurants exist to rape the theatregoers. Holy shit sandwichs in the 15-20$ range. Dinners all above 30. Kobe beef burgers. that's probably a sin to make kobe into hamburgers. Found a scary chinese place that must have been around a long time. They made some good general tso's tofu.

We spent the rest of the night talking. Fun. She gave me my birthday gift, a couple books, a beading board but the coolest thing, the kawaii stuffed maggot. yay. Maggoty will need a name.

PITTSBURRRGH! I was in the city on Saturday night too! Except down in the Southside. And yes, the construction is psychotic. I can't get anywhere.
