Did the federal government do away with the tax write off forms for book donation? I used to fill them out all the time. I just donated more books to my local library and this is the third time they are clueless about that form.

Speaking of local libraries, one of the librarians and I read the same stuff (well technically two of them do). She wanted me to read a new series. Turns out the book I got in Denver is part 3 of a series (thought so but it didn't say so). So now I have book one. Also she's looking for manga appropriate for the YOUNGER reader the 8-10 year olds. Other than Pokeman and Bakugan suggestions?

Takes a moment for self promotion details about my upcoming author’s chat

First up : Franklin Conservancy's Savage Garden (carnivorous plants, whee)

art in the desert

pitcher plants

different kind of pitcher

nope, nothing suspiciously vagina like here

loved this venus fly trap

Dana's Delight seriously red phallic carnivorous plant with MY name on it. Do you know how hard it was not to buy one?

Now for MY flowers

Black Pearl with weeds [livejournal.com profile] silvrethorn bought me the seeds for this a a few years back

I call this blood splatter coelus

pink brandywine

my first watermelon

purple pepper

Newton my new brown turkey fig

first harvest including celebrity, patio, solar fire and black cherry most of them became caprese salad tonight

OMG WEED ME

And now for Kanda!

the same day he ruined the bed

clawing the door? who? me?

NEW TOY!!!

Whaddya mean I wasn't supposed to rip it apart?

big lots had a cat toy for 2$ since Kanda broke his wal-mart one (points up). It's a mouse on a fishing reel that I can whip around. I wasn't paying attention. It makes MOUSE sounds. So either I'm warning every mouse in 500 yard that painful death awaits or I'm setting out a mating cry

I haven't read either of these, but I hear Yotsuba is good for the young crowd, and also Sgt. Frog.

Some tax write-offs are expiring and Congress hasn't re-upped them, so it's possible. Have you tried Sailor Moon manga? Appropriate enough for younger ones, as I recall.

That's the one that got my daughter hooked first on anime, then on manga -- followed by me, although it seems to have faded out of our lives in recent years. SM got a little dark toward the end of its run, but it's still targeted toward pretten and tween girls.

The manga is Dinosaur Hour by Hitoshi Shioya. It's suitable for the younger set, heh.
