i have my hair all lathered up (and it needs attention since it got dyed over the weekend) i looked up and there are THREE of the eight-legged freaks right over the shower head. Spiders meet Hot Shot Death.

also to preserve the henna tatt you need to oil it with natural oils (olive etc) before exposing it to lots of water. I was too lazy to go dig out the bottle again and said hey there's some left over in the fryer and now i smell like fried zucchini.

Those of you in my vampire class, the poor prof is begging you to read the damn books and short stories. I swear to god if we never talk about these books because I am the only one to read it, I'll beat you to death with them.

Tonight we watched The Hunger. Honestly, it's not my favorite but for it's time it's very daring in it's onscreen lesbianism between Catherine Deveneaux and Susan Sarandon. I will admit it's sensual but for me it's just a cold logical, wow, that is sensual. Too bad it doesn't do anything for me, which is why I suspect it's not my favorite. I like my sexy vampires but that tends to mean males for me, and very specific ones at that (blonds, redheads, not really my thing). What i did appreciate that neither actress was super young or enhanced boob-wise. They were sensual in their natural state. Any more, i swear Hollywood believes (more than ever) that women become ugly and uninteresting at an age young enough to make Logan's Run blush.

and the detail work. look around, the stag's horns change with the seasons as does the big botanical. If you look close you can see in the knotwork, snow and rain

When my film students don't read the books, I don't beg, I start pop-quizzing the poor lambs and explaining just how their grades will correlate directly to how much of the course content they've read. It ... sometimes works.

The Hunger is awesome. David Bowie is in it too and he's very beautiful for the first five minutes of film before he starts falling to bits? But yeah, the seduction scene is gorgeous and miles away from anything Hollywood film did with lesbian stuff right up until, ooh, The Hours in 1999?

David Bowie did look so freaking hot for yeah the first 5 minutes before he rotted. I've not seen the Hours so I can't compare but the Hunger scene was lovely

I'm sorry to hear the artist who does those Celtic pieces is sick. I don't know who would replace him is he stopped working or (worse) died. Fingers crossed he was just doing two shows on the same weekend and the family was working your 'fest.

he has emphysema. for the last three years he's been on oxygen which is why I've been splurging a bit to buy everything i really want. He's easily in his 60's so...i worry
