It's Party Time

grades are in. I am done til January (If you ignore having to make a website, revamp an entire lecture series and come up with two syllabi for proposed classes and two syllabi for actual classes, and working on my tenure portfolio). Ah teaching. We get paid shit but we do have time off.

I did have to go out in the snow (it wasn't that bad here) to go get that lecture series since I managed to forget it twice only to find out it was on my old flash drive after all...

other than that I've pissed away the whole day. I've been in a lot of pain. My right thigh has been itching for days.I thought hmmm phlebtitis but it's not red. Today it's been like it's been on fire so I thought hmmm it's right in the pinched nerve area. Then I watched Dr. G medical examiner and saw someone with my symptoms who died of them via vasculitis (I develop leukoclastic vasculitis a lot especially when I'm stressed like now. It's autoimmune). So now I'm paranoid.

But I did get a really cool early holiday gift. THANK YOU rain_oubliette. I love it.

I think you're allowed to be paranoid when one possible diagnosis is life threatening. Have that checked out, stat!

Congrats on getting your grades in. I'm still grading exams, although I got the portfolios done over the weekend.

Good luck on getting the syllabi done.I may be doing that over break if I lose the bet and get stuck teaching Human Development next semester.

chiming in with the "go, physician heal thyself" get it checked out, or at least call that nurses group that sometimes calls and checks up on you from your insurance... better that then worry hopefully needlessly...

I am so glad you got it before you went to your parents'! :D I bought the shirt at AnthroCon in JUNE, when we hung out. LOL! The little notebook is of Kutusitanyanko (Boots Kitty). It's made by San-X. They have a plush of said kitten and you can take off his little "boots/socks". OMG! It is SO cute!

haaha that's funny. Yes the shirt fits. I was a little nervous since it's an XL and I usually take a 2X . It's a generous XL (unlike Think Geek's 2X baby doll which is like a second skin....)

yeah ditto humanities over here. I hate them so much :-) You don't usually get that luxury as a scientist.

It's not bugging me today. Sadly what they give me is prednisone but it makes my sugar go so high I might have to be hospitalized so we'll just wait and see.

eh, doesn't bug me now. no purpura either so (of course if its deep i wouldn't see it). the problem as I said to bobfish is that the treatment creates a diabetic crisis for me. Diabetics and prednisone don't mix

Speaking of Dr. G., her home network, DHN, is slated to become the Oprah Winfrey Network on Jan. 1st. Is this the end of Dr. G. on TV? Will we have to live without one of our morgue shows? Say it ain't so!
