Happy Earth Day
Apr. 22nd, 2011 10:20 pmand for that matter it's also Good Friday. Usually this weekend I'd be at anime punch in Columbus but I just wasn't feeling it this year. Instead, L and I went shopping in a frigging deluge. Thanks. We needed more rain. Great celebration there Mother Earth. Please take it somewhere it's needed.
We hit Olive Garden then Hobby Lobby which had loads of shelves and 'dressers' full of wicker baskets. I could really use something like that, no lie. I just didn't know how to rearrange stuff to make use of it. L does puppetry so she shopped around the hobby lobby warned I was NOT allowed to buy more beads (I didn't)
A quick run thru Macy's netted me a Clinque bonus so yay. Lovely purples this time. We went to one of the clothing stores L likes and she told me it had a plus size counterpart on the other end of the mall. We stopped in Lane Bryant on the way to see a) their ugly clothes b) to be confounded by the labeling system. There were a whole series of decent dress pants on a clearance rack but rather than the traditional system they were numbers 1-8. WHAT? The other girl looking at it was just as confused. What's a 1? An 18? a 16? WHAT? No sales clerk came so I went to the Christopher & Banks instead and got a part of black slacks for work for under 20$. yay.
She wanted to show me a tea shop. I was slightly disappointed since it was mostly just like republic of tea with overpriced flavored bag tea BUT they had 37 flavors of Bubble tea. I haven't had that since I left Little Vietnam in Orlando years ago. YUMMMMY. I had watermelon.
We hit Borders (more manga cuz I totally need it) and Lowes. Because I totally need plants too. Got two strawberry plants with red flowers, some baby toes, boxwood basil (perfect for making herb knot gardens), black bean seeds and three heirloom tomatoes, the san martzana, rutgers and a german queen.
Day Twenty-Two: Favorite female character you love but everyone else hates

Okay, honestly I had NO idea for this. I ended up picking her because most of the fanfic I see for this is slash which baffles me. The guys in this series aren't that hot, Thomas and Harry aside. Murphy is another smart snarky independent woman (and yet some people see her as weak and Harry as a misogynist who has to protect her and I have no idea what they're reading, more often than not she saves him). She's very tough and getting a little too tragic at this point (wondering if the series is beginning to play out

Date: 2011-04-23 04:06 am (UTC)Gerry never could understand my aversion to malt o meal, oatmeal, rice pudding, or tapioca. But after a few years he finally stopped trying to see if I would be willing to eat some.
Then again I now also have an aversion towards pudding of any kind, and jello. But that's because the stuff makes me violently ill. Especially jello.
