my last day of class

it went it like this:

1. woke up at 4 AM not to watch the Royal weddingbut to throw up mightily from a migraine. Migraine is still hurting some 15 hours later.

2. repeated pap smear. Asked doc about bone density test because I'm on Nexium, she explained why she didn't think it was necessary so yay. She also has gone to vancouver island often and suggested things to see and for me to nab some compression stockings for the long ass flight

3. get coffee at the hospital coffee shop (best one in 30 miles which is so sad) run into student there because well sigh.

4. met with dept. chair.Hopes that these interviews make for improvements

5. taught last class

6. had BAD WORK SHIT happen

7. at bar by 4 pm

8. after 9 pm still drinking but plans on writing and drinks simultaneously

9.sit down to type this, look down and see HUGE black spider walking across my boobs, jump up shrieking until my throat hurts, pounding on my shirt. Spider falls to the ground skitters about then I crush him into non-existance

10. contemplates why life hates me

I didn't watch the royal wedding but I am fascinated by fancy dress. Her gown was gorgeous (at that price it had better be)



Day Twenty-Nine: A female-centric fic rec

For this, I made my usual beta/co-author pony up some of her stuff since I put like nothing but my own things in memories. I'm sure my friends have other good femme centric stories and feel free to put links in the comments if you want and I can fix this up.

Yay Killians. I haven't had beer in forever. Actually, I've been jonesing for Guinness ice cream, bad enough that I'm contemplating getting an ice cream maker just so I can have some. Nobody locally ever offers it. We still have this small-town notion that ice cream is for kids.

I caught the royal wedding on reruns. Kate's dress was perfect--when you're marrying a prince you don't need bling to make a statement. The guy in the scarlet uniform putting the ring on your finger _is_ the statement. I liked the trees in the cathedral, too, and was amazed at how high the ceiling is in that place. Never mind the potted trees; you could get Pacific redwoods inside that nave.

Bob Evans corp plans to move all of the little village to higher ground. the school house is in very very bad shape as you can see by the one wall.

Seems to me there is still hope for that cabin, I hate seeing historical buildings die.

A dear friend down in Oklahoma stated "algebra sucketh the great suck." I'm thinking of turning that into a signature line.
