first long day

now i'm beat. had therapy. it was hellacious.

had lunch out at the gyro palace, half pound of meat on it. OOOO gyros.

went to visit granny at home for a couple hours. thankfully there were other visitors. tempted to take her place on thursday, on the schedule for the home is facials, then hand massages then ice cream social the outdoor relaxation the reading hour

then we met my cousins and Lucky Uncle and my aunt at the casino. didn't win but he gave me 3 drink com[s. one gin and tonic and two amaretto sours later who cares if i lost. he comped us all dinner too. i had seared scallops and wild mushroom ravioli in sherry cream sauce and french onion soup. so much for weight loss

now so very tired

At least you have your appetite back. My mom is still doing the pain/oxycontin/nausea routine and seems to be subsisting entirely on cherries and the chilled pear mint soup I made the other night. Hey, she wanted to lose back down to 125. At this rate she'll make it.

I thought about taking Mom to a day spa for a celebratory facial, mani and pedi treatment, but right now she'd probably kill people if they touched her. We could barely get people to bathe and feed my aunt at her nursing home, never mind pamper her. Your granny is lucky. Or rich. Money helps a lot.

i stopped the pills a week ago, lost 7 pounds while on them. the soup sounds good
