the heat is trying hard and so are the cats.

I was working on old research files and had piles of paper (much going into the recycle) and Roy had to put his butt on ALL the piles and the poor thing wants to be clean but every time he does it the neck wound opens up.

Kanda, last night, as I was getting ready for bed was coiled up on the back of the couch ready to pounch. HIs target? The freaking ceiling fan. Rank that as a really bad idea.

Soul...I'm fearing he is severely ill and that explains his behavior. I said yesterday there was a lump on his left front paw around his wrist bone area. Today he came to see me again and I noticed his back paw was swollen. This has happened before. We thought it was allergies to litter. this time there are distinct hard nodules. Now either he has two broken/healing legs which would probably only have happened if someone threw him or something (and I have no reason to believe my friend hurt him while watchinghim) or he has some kind of tumor formation. I'm going to see what I can work out with the vet. He's too hard to catch and get anywhere on time but I want to be THERE and watch her examine him. Even if this is not a cancer, if he has some tumor-forming issue, this will be bad.

Other than worrying about them, I've been sitting around worry about my brother and my shoulder and desperately trying to finish my lecture and the demon hunter holiday story.

That might explain a lot about Soul, but isn't there a condition with brittle bones that people can get, where they break really easily? I know I read an article about it, because the hospital reported the parents as being abusive when their daughter was just very ill with this problem. I don't know if there's a cat equivalent, of course.

osteogenesis imperfecta. I had a boy toy with it in college (or something like it, he shattered all four limbs falling on a step)

Me, too. Mom and I were talking about watching all the movies we can now. *laugh* though she says she can't go to the theater and watch them all, drat it.

haha only some are black. some are p ink ditto his nose AND the roof of his mouth (he's a bi-colored kitty to the extreme)

i'm not seeing poop anywhere but Soul is improving in attitude slowly but I don't think this is going to have any ending that doesn't end in tears.
