Ready Set Go
Nov. 1st, 2011 09:46 pmI'm off and running with Voluntary Nightmare. Yay.
It's very hard for me to see on this screen and I gave up. If I missed a post you wanted me to see or think I'll enjoy it link me up.
So I'm sitting here in the living room whichi don't usually do and there's nothing on so I'm watching the elimination round of DWTS. Can I say a few things? 1. Rob Kardashian is an idiot. WHAT is the fascination with that whole clan (and don't even get me started on his sister)
2. WTF is so great about Justin Bieber. My radios here do not play him. This is the first time I've ever heard him. He sucks as a singer and he can't dance. But yay there is a ballet dancer on. I love ballet passionately. I miss it so much here.
For some reason I answered the phone tonight. I don't know why. I SAW that it was university of central florida. I knew they had to be calling me for an alumni drive. And yet I picked up. And yes that's what they wanted. 200$ are you out of your ever loving mind?? I did find out that UCF is now the second largest college in the country 0_o and the school of science is 40% of that!
I saw the endocrinologist today. My HgA1C is down. Yay. It still not great but it's improving. My bad cholesterol is fine, the good cholesterol is low (sigh) the liver is fine and my blood pressure was 100/62. that's right heart, don't work too hard.

fmagiftexchange if you want me to see your story bits, point me to them. again i'm reading them at work so....
Here you go
Savaria Archana is the living embodiment, one of thirteen, of the Goddess Savaria. As a living goddess, her world is rarefied and cloistered until one night her temple is set aflame and she is kidnapped. As the Savaria-Militant, Archana doesn't go easily, escaping into the woods occupied by the Yaarians, a cultural minority that was all but destroyed in a civil war a decade before.
Sverre Spicer is a young Yaarian healer/priest with a magical ability to work with plants. He wanted to be a warrior/priest but during the civil war when he was ten years old, he crossed paths with Drake, the fire mage. Sverre only survived his burns thanks to a magical healer but he is severely burned, having lost his forearm and has contractures of his leg that make walking painful. Little did he expect to find a Tasianan Living Goddess lost in the woods when he went out to gather healing herbs.
Ethon Drake, fire mage, and his adjutant and lover, Charis have known things were going badly awry ever since the civil war. Charis is the king's daughter and next in line for the throne has made it her mission to come up through the military just like any other soldier (or as close as she can come) but has a good look into her father's world as well. She knows he is going mad and her younger brother wants her throne. She suspects he has killed their eldest brother and she is next. Ethon fears his rare and powerful magic have made him next on the king's hit list.
When Sverre attempts to return Archana to the city so the Yaarians aren't blamed for her kidnapping, he, his sister and his friend cross paths once more with Drake and Charis and the party launches on a mission to prevent the death of all the goddess and to keep the king and whoever is behind the attacks from pulling the country apart.
today's snippet - “Bad enough you destroy our homes, now you steal from us, too,” a gruff voice said behind her, bringing her head up sharply. “Tell me why I shouldn’t kill you now, Tasi bitch?”
Archana knew she should be afraid, but she wasn’t. Fury enveloped her, hot as the spices in a fall festival buffet. She kicked backwards, rewarded by a meaty thump and his squawk of pain. She tried to bolt, but he caught her braid, tossing invectives her way. Archana couldn’t get leverage, but managed to catch hold of his free hand. Even as she shifted her weight so she could throw him, something felt wrong. His wrist was too hard, just not right in her hand.
Archana couldn’t keep in the squeal of surprise as his hand tore free of his body.
