First off I wanted to share this writing site that ES shared with me. Figment. It has prompts (often by pros) and a blog and more. I haven't had time to explore it much yet.

I have a post up on Jana's blog that has the blurb for the new story in the upcoming anthology, Two Tickets to Paradise check it out.

I had more I wanted to say here but I'm not done with my tenure bullcrap. I'm also dealing with a migraine and that occasional bizarre exhaustion I get (seriously i could have laid on the Kroger's floor today and simply slept) so I'll hold off til next week.

I am still looking for my plot for the scarred soldier story and ditto the geeklove. Sigh. I DID finally get around to using some writers group stuff on Splinters but I haven't had time to do a full edit of chapter two and send it off. For that matter I haven't had time to use the edits cala_jane and ES have sent me.

Yearly word count -

1646 / 75000 words. 2% done!

FMA BigBang -

13437 / 15000 words. 90% done! Don't let that fool you. I'm still in the process of determining what I have to eject. I may have to remove half of this and save for another story since there is literally no way of finishing this in the time left and do the story I want to do.

I'm still having trouble with the scar story but I saw they have a tattoo running for the same time so I'm working on that too.

Ha, one of my LJ friends is actually working at Figment and reviews some stories posted on that website from time to time (she's considering posting her reviews in a non-LJ blog). Also haven't looked over that blog yet but it's cool there are prompts you can use for writing.

Yeah, with the deadline coming soon it's best to save some of the stuff for another story. Still looking forward to your Big Bang, though!

now that is cool. small world. I love prompts and even if i never use any of them, just having them there if i need inspiration makes me happy

I'm going to have to. I know that at least two subplots are going to be part of sequel #4! I just hope i don't have to pull anything out but thanks. looking forward to yours too

yes I saw that. I had no ideas for that even though I often have tattooed characters. go figure.
