I am in the 'likely to lose power' area. They're still predicting heavy snow for us but since we're so far inland (I'm in OH) they haven't closed anything preemptively so as far as I know I have to be at work tomorrow.

I did however continue my disaster preparedness which pretty much consumed my day. I charged the chargables. I found the old landline phone that doesn't need electricity (yes, I still have one), I boiled off eggs and I even went into the next 4 lecture notes and made a list of things I'll have to look up and define. I can do that on paper after all and use the ginormous text book I made them buy.

I even brought in the halloween display since some of it is brand new and other parts are light weight (wind is the thing that presents the most danger here)

On a completely NON-storm related issue I know i have Firefly fans on the group. Personally I didn't like it but I have to admit I'm STUNNED to learn that it's the tenth anniversary of the show already. Wow. And for the fans on my list here you go, an anniversary celebratory book here
