One week down
Jan. 18th, 2013 10:15 pmHow the hell did that happen? Overall, it was a good one. I have promising students but I will never understand the students who sit in the back of the room, do poorly and spend their time deriding the students who answer the professor/teacher. I didn't get it when I was the student. I don't get it now. I have two men (one my age, one young) who are just on the ball, sitting up front and answering everything AND proposing ideas and I have two men (also one older and one younger) against the back wall doing nothing but rolling their eyes and mocking. Guess who I want working on ME when I'm in to have things done?
Speaking of having things done, I got my eye looked at. He was worried about corneal damage but the eye is fine. Why it's so blurry is that it's getting more myopic and he did what I said I didn't really want to do. He left my left eye at the same diopter as my right so it could function as close reading and my right for distance but for the first time in a couple years my vision got worse. Also with my left eye out of commission I was having trouble seeing close in the right because well I'm getting older and will need readers sooner rather than later (very mild ones). Also contributing to it was the fact my glasses had gotten bent to hell and back over break. They're fixed and it's MUCH better. Helps if you look through the part of the lens you're supposed to.
I need to look up what to do with a cat with severe dandruff. Poor Kanda looks awful. My vet said corn oil on the food. I want to see if there's anything else.
I just finished my world building blog post, convinced it was today that it started. I'm 10 days early. Oops. well post one is done!
Here, I found another of those heart warming stories
Day 5 of declutter, the last two beer bottles are label-peeled and recycled (now to tackle the wine). Well at least until I drink more. I do pick my experimental beers by cute label. I've also learned that in America we use good paper and cheap glue (easy to peel) and all the ones from the UK are flimsy paper (that falls apart in the water) and glue that will never come the hell off. So in 5 days I've removed 9 items. yay.

Date: 2013-01-19 03:26 am (UTC)Um. I wanna say fish oil for Kanda. But I can't remember, and I don't know where my "homeopathic remedies for pets" book is.
So...are your eyes better sighted now or not? I'm confused.

oh yeah, that mocking makes no sense and worse, I SEE it and chances are the mockers will be the ones wanting a favor from me later. good luck
