I felt like Sheldon in that episode today. On one hand they did slightly better on the exam but on the other a half dozen came stomping into my office to demand why I 'gave' them such low midterm grades. I explained how they 'earned them.'

Everyone at work was a special little snowflake today, faculty and staff included (probably me too if you ask others)

I did however get massive amounts of writing down while they were testing so overall that's a win.

I was telling MOm about today and she told me that I have to remember not everyone is as smart as me, paused for a mom then said 'I sound like Sheldon's mom' Thanks Mom.

Then she calls back about ten minutes after we ring off 'HOBBIT IS OUT ON TUESDAY! WE MUST GO BUY IT IMMEDIATELY!'. Go ask your son for it for an early mother's day gift. (I already got her her gift). GREAT!!!. Click. Go get him, Mom.

She calls back after this episode of TBBT 'See, Wolowicz cleans for guests like you do.'

Bite me mom.

And now I have a cut under my bruised middle finger. What? Is something trying to chew it off in my sleep?

Everyone may not be as smart as you, but that's no excuse for not demonstrating basic competency on a test and blaming it on you. Your students are truly special snowflakes.

they are but the real special snowflakes this week are my coworkers. Spring break is the only thing saving a couple from being buried in the greenhouse

There is a text. There is a syllabus. There is lecture.

If your students can't "do it", they have NO BUSINESS passing the class. End of story.

(And I FLUNKED AP 1... I did it "to myself"... and am now suffering the consequences... at least I was a "scraped under" fail... I know it really really well now and am making awesome connections.)
