enemytosleep I'm here in PA with my parents as you know, helping Mom out. (That wasn't why I canceled my NY trip. That had to do with the upcoming cost of my Vegas trip). It's not been a particularly fun trip between the work to do and the work to do for classes/research.

That said we did get out to the casino for a little while on our way to go see grandma. All in all, not a tremendously good day of winning but I did get two bonuses worth 15 and 20$ (not bad if you realize I'm paying penny slots. And for that matter if they get rid of my penny (not happy about this) what sort of slots will I be playing??). We didn't stay long since Mom gets tired and all that smoke isn't good for anyone.

Surprisingly grandma wasn't bad. She was actually concerned about Mom and that isn't normal for her to be concerned about anyone that isn't her.

I'm getting a little bit done writing wise, 100 words at a time. Sigh.

I've learned that if desktops ever go away for good (which is likely) I will absolutely HAVE to have voice recognition software. In less than a week of using a laptop my bad hand is in so much pain I can hardly use it. It's not doing my shoulders any favors either. Pain kept me up all night.
