Another semester comes to a close. Finals are next week and technically I COULD be off til august. My pay sucks but I get a lot of time off. Of course I have to revamp entirely from scratch 3 classes so it's also 3 months of unpaid labor. Fun. I have some students I'll really miss. Others, well you know.

I did go remove all the pregnant uteri from the cats and put them in jars for future students to gawk at.

And there was a hugely funny moment. I'm talking about the four phases of human sexual response. I have a huge penis up on the screen and we're just at the point of orgasms when a coworker walks by with his kids both under the age of 7 and my students see the little ones and they lose it. Snort.

I haven't been able to remember my dreams in a while but I remember fragments of this mornings. I woke up an hour before the alarm and said, no way and did fall back asleep into this weird, stressful dream. I was in a large convoluted house (again. Always) It was a writers retreat. Two of the authors were two male students of mine but at the same time they weren't (i.e. they looked like those students but were someone else entirely) and along those lines [livejournal.com profile] salomesensei was also there but just in appearance, the woman wasn't really like her. She was also wheelchair bound. I don't remember at all why everyone was so tense. I remember that it was hot and I was standing over the woman in the wheelchair discussing revisions or something. A bead of sweat dripped off my chin and into this open jar of kombuchu like tea. The moment the sweat hit the scobi, the tea fizzed up and went off like a grade school baking soda volcano. The woman was furious. I kept apologizing and promising I'd replace it. I jumped right online looking for 'yamma yeast' to ferment more tea. Yeah I have no idea.

I kinda love this Shibu Inu

amazing science They might get a handle on MRSA with this.

I have lived all over the country but this montage of movies shot in da burgh makes me want to move home. I never appreciated how good the Pittsburgh area really is (then again when I grew up there it wasn't that good. It was the crash of the steel industry).

I have that CD. We listened to it in Florida. :D
Amy got it for me (Amy from work, not Amie the Artist) at a Renn Faire she visited.

I was over Castanada when I discussed him with a guy I met through work in '87.

You make her some new tea, now, woman!

Hmmm that might be why it sounded so familiar. It's not as if I don't listen to tons of this stuff.

Snort, I was probably over him before I even got to medical school. God even knows where this book surfaced from.

I AM, as soon as I find that yamma yeast.

Not like we both don't listen to that kind of music.

Hahaha. I never even read any of his works.

FIND THE YEAST, WOMAN.

Yes, I did listen to it, and liked it.

Real Google needs to catch up, then. Maybe Real Bing has it. :D
