It's been one of those days that make you just wonder why you bother.

I start the computer in the morning after a night of terrible dreams.(I don't remember them all but I remember playing in the waves, hoping they'd drown me but they washed up somewhere rather feudal in nature and it was winter. The rest of the dreamscape was filled with these feudal soldiers torturing other soldiers with bull whips and cooking them alive. I don't even WANT to know what that was about) The computer has decided that my printer is NEW hardware and that it's drivers are NOT legal. It won't upload them. WTF? The printer is 6 months old. FInally had to systems restore to make them talk to each other. I then foolishly decided to take Microsoft up on it's security update. 34 minutes it said. Try 4 1/2 HOURS.

Did a lot of job trolling and realized the pay that's being offered, I'd be better off doing the same kind of temp work my mom's doing. Sigh. My favorite so far, the job on Monster that wanted science teachers and the pay scale was 26K plus some bennies, including housing...WITH your students. Oh please. That's a recipe for murder if ever I heard one.

Then I'm presented with a mundane puzzler. How can the meat in the plastic box in my garage (read secondary refrig) be frozen solid and yet the ice cream be liquid. Literally. I drank it.

Then I get the idea that it's not worth paying for a hair cut just to trim my bangs. Mom's a hairdresser in a former life. She's shown me how to do this. I can cut a straight line, I mean I was a surgeon after all. So I get out the scissors. I measure the bangs up. I allow for my natural curl and the mirror tells me the hair will still be in my eyes when I'm done with the cut. As soon as you hear the sntk of the blades you know you've made a mistake. Apparantly the mirror lied but hey the line is perfectly straight.

So as I'm consoling myself by drinking creme brulee Hagan Daas, and watching Law and ORder SVU, I see an ad for ER promising a 'ground breaking' new show that puts you in the body of a patient and you see the ER from HER pov. Ground breaking? Hello, M.A.S.H. did that in the 70's. A nearly 30 year old trick is NOT ground breaking. It's just sad that NBC thinks it's new.
