Really? Just how do you do that?
Aug. 5th, 2013 10:58 pmI scratched the back of my throat swallowing a GUMMY. Really? I know it was an Angry Bird gummy but did it have to peck the shit out of my soft tissues. My throat is so sore. I didn't think it was even possible. Also I have a low grade fever again (I get them. I'm not sure why. Honestly I think they're hormonal).
Saw the endocrinologist today. No good news there. I'm now on a THIRD insulin. Nothing like taking 3 or more injections a day. Sigh. Nothing seems to work. He's stymied. I'm frustrated and my body fails more every three months. I told him about the intense tiredness I've had the last 4 weeks. He shrugs and says 'I'm sorry.' Yeah, how about testing my thyroid or something? Okay time to go look up new endocrinologists too.
THen they told me I had to see the accountant. Turns out my shit insurance denied a payment, I paid it, the hospital resubmitted it since it SHOULD have been paid and now they owe me 75$. Want that as a hospital credit? NO, check please.
So here's a half manufactured home, half built house add on with a sunroom that reminds me of the one ELD had in FL (and seriously could you not afford to fence the whole yard.)
in Albany
And remember what I said about the houses in Middleport/Pomeroy being BEAUTIFUL but fully halfway between both work and where my friends are? Yeah. I'm STILL thinking about it. But the caveat is they're on the Mighty Ohio River which has a tendency to go apeshit and flood as large river are wont to do. I have a feeling flood insurance might be out of my price range but I might look into it. You know what will happen, five minutes after I buy it we'll be doing canonballs off the second story landing into my flooded living room. The second caveat is they are ALL too in town to make me happy. Be sure to click on the additional pictures because it's worth it.
I can afford this and repair it too seriously, what the hell? How much worse is it than the pictures show (also note if you can't give a house away in this area it tells me something)
I’m brick and in CoM’s price range. She should just buy me
I’m just out of reach so close to my range but not there...also living RIGHT on the road. Shudders. But look inside this beauty. Seriously.
I should just look to see if Gettysburg College is hiring...
Oh Ohio stay crazy
And THANK YOU to everyone who weighed in yesterday on the Nano options. Had a vote for the steampunk sequel, a vote for the werewolf sequel and one for the druids. Hmmm cool.
declutter day 101 item tossed -Floral potpourri holder why kept= I had a potpourri phase why tosse d-I prefer candles and oils now

Date: 2013-08-06 03:07 am (UTC)The second house is a lot of fun. I still like the first house better.
But OH, that third house, that wants to grow up and be a castle.
Your doctor sucks. Again.
Only you could hurt yourself on a GUMMY.

Date: 2013-08-06 10:42 am (UTC)the first one - meh.
it's now offically known as flat screen house =D
the second one: I love old houses and all that natural wood - but it looks to have structural problems (look in livingroom pics with green planter under window - the floor seems to bow down there)
the third one: omg... that kitchen! *want!* but, yeah, it's lower than surrounding ground, right by big floody river... but it's a castle for a song.
(edited because I need more coffee)

Date: 2013-08-06 02:10 pm (UTC)the real problem here is these are destitute river towns stocked with scary people, meth and houses they can't even give away. If these were even here in Jackson you could tack on another 150K without blinking an eye. (I have no idea WHY. Jackson is hardly prosperous)

I know. Here's the funnier thing, last year's nano had these creatures only they're called Wodniks, a Polish frog demon. So we're not the only one seeing menancing frog men
