It sums up my whole week. My fibromyalgia is flaring. And this week was 40 days long and everyone at work agreed with that feeling. And ELD is taunting me with her delicious potato chips, damn her. I'm waking up more tired than when I went to bed. Yesterday as I mentioned I went to work with no make up. Today, I knew something was wrong. Right before I headed out the door I figured it out. I had on NO bra or panties. 0_0

Even Nikki dissed me at the winery. Pouts. No doggie head boinks. But there are two new wines. need money to buy.

While I was trying to relax in the tub, Kanda was in the computer room losing his shit. I never did find out why. Kanda is a QUIET cat. He meows mostly when a) I'm in the shower b) if I'm talking to him c) if I touch him and he tells me to fuck off, I'm sleeping. What he doesn't do is run around crying and he was doing that back and forth between the living room/computer room. I suspect something was in the courtyard he didn't like or wanted desperately but never figured out what.

Dear Carrie remake, if you want to convince me to see you maybe you shouldn't have cast a girl so beautiful she can't even pretend she's the homely outcast.

Books I'm utter over - zombies, dystopias and books about Celts/Samhain with zero research put into them.

Also please tell the THREE YA's in my head to stop it. I've got my nano.

And how amused was I when I learned while watching Antiques Roadshow UK that Western Porcelain was 'discovered' (i.e. we figured out China's recipe) for a German ruler by an alchemist?

And then got licked by a Cairn Terrier. Dawwww. And then had to pick a black kitty up out of the middle of the road to make sure he wouldn't get hit, because he was being dumb and playing chicken with the cars. Fortunately, he belonged to someone, and I could pass him off to her.

Maybe I should try that declutter day thing too. Sometimes I go on decluttering sprees but I still feel like I'm drowning in too much stuff. I love Amazon's new trade-in market because now at least I can get rid of some of the dozens of books I have no more need for.

In defense of "Carrie" - not that I was going to see it - Chloe Moretz is a very good actress and I associated her more with "Hit Girl" and her part on "30 Rock" where I didn't think anyone was casting her based upon attractiveness.

Obviously, it's a problem, though.

Oh cool. I cart mine to a chain store Half-Price books which sells used and over stocks. They won't take former library books which many of mine are but the local hospital has a take one/leave one book policy in its coffee shop.

I took this post as inspiration and put together another package for Amazon this morning. This is about the 7th package I sent out and I feel like it barely makes a difference; I don't even know where those 100+ books fit in before. But at least I don't have to squeeze my books onto the shelves any more.

It's true. Just watching shows/movies from the 70s-80s, yes they had pretty people too but there are actors/actresses (especially the latter) that would not get work today because they are too plain. How many times have I seen a headline about that pig Simon Cowl commenting on the singer's appearance/weight and not their music?

Aside from being attractive, I don't think so. She's has a very long IMDB resume (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1631269/?ref_=nmmi_mi_nm) and is a really good actress. She was also good as the child vampire in the US version of the Swedish horror movie "Let the Right One In"

This is more a case of a really good actress, who happened to be young, and who happens to be turning into an attractive teen.

One of my friends (well, ex-friends but that's unrelated) actually is a hoarder. I spent a night at his place a few years ago and we had to walk through narrow pathways in his apartment, because everyplace was cluttered four feet high. And I hear that it has gotten worse. I can't imagine what it looks like now.

Having a bird poop on you is supposed to be good luck. I don't think that applies to people with birds as pets, though, or I'd be one of the luckiest people on the planet.

Since the underwear goes on first, I would think you'd be more likely to go to work in just your bra and panties, not go to work _without_ them.

If writers don't bother to research the other stuff, why would they bother to research the Celts? Researching Celts sucks, anyway. So much is filtered through Roman historians, and the damn Celts didn't develop a proper written language to tell their own side of things. It makes it tempting to just fill in the blanks with guesswork and wishful fantasy.

oh dear. it's still just ankle high here and mostly if I had something other than an apt it wouldn't be nearly as bad. I have no storage space here, first apt that didn't have at least one storage area that comes with it.

Oh okay I saw her in the American version of "Let the Right one in" and I liked it, sort of. I guess my point is what I remember of Carrie was a socially awkward, somewhat homely young woman and she looks more like she should be the girl picking on the outcast but that could be my own high school prejudices talking. (also partly I've gotten sick of Hollywood remaking literally everything at this point but that's another issue all together)
