Writerly Ways
Oct. 27th, 2013 02:32 pmNothing to deep here since there are about 1001 things I'm supposed to be doing right now but it's been weeks between not being home or not having internet since I've done a writerly ways.
I just wanted to drop by with some cheerleading for Nanowrimo. No matter how you're planning to tackle it, the traditional way (many of you) alternately (some of you) or haphazardly (me), GOOD LUCK.
It's true. In spite of having a cover and an idea in place, this is going to be the year I don't finish in all likelihood. I'm okay with that because I'll be editing my first published novel. While I regret their timing in many ways (because it's also going to run over the Christmas holidays and cut into the very brief time I have to spend with family and friends), I can't really complain. Okay strike that, I'll whine, cry and roll around on the floor when I see hundreds of pages dripping in my novel's blood, but I will get it done.
What I'm NOT okay with is how lackluster my approach has been with the steampunk novella. I'm beginning to hate myself a little.
So instead of wasting any more of my time, let me leave you with these two things.

25 things authors need to stop doing (this is NOT a negative post, it's a good boost for us all)

Date: 2013-10-28 09:38 pm (UTC)I've conquered all the 25 what-not-to-do's at this point. The manuscript is out there, against all odds. Now I'm just waiting for Minotaur Press to kick me in the head. I hope this experience was worth it :/.
