It's going to be another short one since allergies have given me asthma attacks/migraines/all over itchiness and I DO have a lot of work to be doing.

But I DID want to talk a little about the trials and tribulations of putting yourself out there. There is so much to do for a modern author. Social Media. Websites. Promotion. Finding the ever elusive first readers. Friends help. Boy do friends help.

For instance a local friend posted about the Like a Virgin query contest and I would have never have known otherwise. I have officially made it in. Yay. THANK YOU to everyone who weighed in on that.

Then I realized I had to add them to Jana's twitter because I'm not really sure I want to use Eliana's now as I'm not sure I want that as a pen name. Maybe I really will go with D M Evans and just change my FFN name. Most people know me through CoM anyhow and I FORGOT last month to celebrate my DECADE on this blog. Aw.

I have no website for Jana or my non-erotica self. It's easy to feel like you're not doing enough. In fact, I AM learning with each story more and more what to do. I think I did a decent job with Aaron and Rhys's story. Better than I did with Agni/Caleb/Temple/Li's story for sure. I hope to keep that going.

For the Like a Virgin contest I'll be part of a getting to know you blog hop. I need to work on those questions. I'm excited. My query will be judged by four published authors (You can see them on the link above) I don't know them so now I have more fiction to go look up. Fun!
