I'm unhappy with myself

I have a distinct memory of putting my checkbook on the table with the thought 'must pay rent.' I can not find it anywhere now.I have no idea where it could have gone. I cleaned the living room like no one's business and no checks. Thoughts are it could have gone up under the couch and I'm fucked because I can not move it right now. Did I take it to work to pay rent on the way home and my union dues? If so it's not in my purse. Gah.

Still not sleeping. No clue why.

Brother still plans on coming here. Figures. Don't get me wrong, I want him to come but I'm busy EVERY weekend until he plans to get here. I don't know how I can clean this place in time. He wants mom to come to Bob fest too BUT if she comes and they do so will dad. Where the hell I can put 4 people I have no idea? Someone has to go to a hotel...maybe ME!

So very unhappy with myself.

Also here is something VERY weird. I mentioned suddenly being allergic to the multi purpose saline solution and had to go to the old-fashioned hydrogen peroxide system like it was the 80s all over again and TWO of my students have the same problem and were told the same thing. Has this happened to anyone else? I'm wondering we're all seeing the same eye doc or something because that is peculiar.


cool archaeology it's not new but it's one of the first times I've seen so many pictures (ironic seeing as it's a discovery older than I am).

- Did you check behind/under the cushions for the checkbook? I lose more stuff between the cushions!!

- sometimes the old methods are really good! (like the hydrogen peroxide system)

I looked there. I have the dread feeling I picked it up to DO something with it and then set it down god knows where.

maybe (actually it bothers my eyes even more than the other stuff to be honest) but I find it very bizarre that three women in a close geographic location are having the same issues with multipurpose saline. Hmmm might make for a good study.

I enjoyed the filthy cities series - it looked at NYC, Paris, London - back before the industrial revolution.
Yuck to each of 'em, but fascinating to learn about 150 years later. :-)
