I could use a little cheering up

So hit me with story/art recs, funny links, etc. I'm beginning to think teaching is the stupidest thing I could ever have done. I know we all feel pointless in our jobs from time to time but today was bad. It was the nurses first test in anatomy and physiology and it was the basic cell stuff, diffusion/active transport, organelles, what's a carb/lipid/protein, stuff I learned in SIXTH grade. 69% class average (and that's with 2 people getting 100% if that gives you an idea of how bad these people did). AND I gave the same test to my majors, only harder but still review considering they have to have a full year of biology and most have had a full year of chemistry under their belts. In a class of 9 I had 3 100% and 3 failures (and the rest were all over the a-c range). WTF? I'm gonna be a doctor. No, you surely fucking are not. You're going to be nothing if you can't retain shit a fifth grader should know.

bah. enough of that.

My parents ended up in some strange hotels on their trip. The one in Fort Ticongaroga was very 1970s but check out the fireplace IN their room.

There three states that never disappoint me when it comes to the absolutely crazy people that live there, AZ, FL and OH (Texas is a close fourth and IN did have the guy who ate his girlfriend last week). I bring you Total Recall anyone? And this doctor should lose his license. It IS unethical.
