I made it to Kroger's only to find it packed at 1pm on a Friday? WTF? Were they giving away the food? (Not to me judging by the size of my bill). I grab brisket for lunch, get home eat, and the rain finally stopped so I get out there to the storage unit with the last of my crap and Naru dies....

Well fuck. Nothing I do starts him. I walk from the hunting camp (where my storage unit is) back to the apartment complex. My cell phone is also dead. Honda thinks it's the battery and that's reasonable. It's the original so over 5 years old. Dad did say replace it but with the surgery I forgot. I lose the rest of the day to getting it jumped, driving BACK to Jackson and getting it replaced.

I did get home and washed the kitchen floor before I did anything else. Mistake. The new cleaning solution did too good a job, loosening up unseen dirt which then wouldn't stick to the mop and is now all over the floor. I'll have to sweep it when it dries in the morning because it's SO fucking humid (it's been raining for like a week) I didn't get a chance to clean the kitchen or finish dishes. I ran a quick swifter over the bathroom. Wish I could put them in a damn hotel at this point.

The cleaning is killing me. The motions are so hard with this bad arm. I'm allergic to cleaning solutions including this one which was all natural. My skin is burning like mad and I can't stop coughing. fun times.

But in good news here, I won this Finnish graphic novel. Sing No Evil Goodreads is apparently broken because this is book #2 I got in the mail without being told I won. I'm not arguing.

Okay I know this song is really rather silly but in some ways I really like the message of don't worry about your size and you're perfect as you are.

I really liked this story on overcoming adversity Thank you for your service Mr. Galloway and his cover picture, that's about what my character Aaron in Kept Tears would look like (though Aaron has his leg, albeit not in very good shape).

How much is brisket per pound this week? I'd love to Chuck some in my crick put for a few hours, but can rarely afford it if it's not on sale. Good price?  Or just Worth the splurge if you can afford it?

Sorry you had to deal with replacing the car battery. That's a not-fun expense.

thanks. Honestly I didn't mind that. It was my fault. I'm just glad it wasn't a worse problem because the indicator light should have meant the computer that reads the chip in my key wasn't reading it.

Ouch, that all sounds so hard. Company really costs us!

I was thinking about atpolittlebit today and missing her, too. I never know whether it would be better to have friends' accounts taken off LJ and FB when they're gone, or keep them so we don't forget. But I don't think anyone will forget Little Bit. I got to meet her in person, so she's even more real to me.

It was and yes it is. I must have moved to a new tier in Goodreads algorithm because I'm constantly winning books now. IT's a good thing

I've let cars die of aged-out batteries several times, so I'm an expert at it. It's easy to forget about the damned things--but there's much less excuse for letting them die now that the battery makers put date stickers on them. You just pop the hood and look at the sticker if you need to know how old the battery is. Only I never pop the hood, so the batteries still die on me :/.

We just got over a month-long spell of rain down here. Talk about humid. Now it's bone-dry and 100 degrees, so all the plants that got fat and spoiled by the daily deluge are keeling over dead.

I've done it before too. I didn't even notice they have a sticker on them. I'm like shouldn't there be a warning light on it?

well that's super special. Thanks Florida.

Oh, I thought you were talking about buying a brisket like you'd cook.  You mean from the Deli?

Oh never mind.  I guess I thought you meant at Kroger you bought brisket but you meant on the way home.  lol. never mind me. I was confused.  That's why I was asking how much the brisket was power pound.  I thought you got it at Kroger. We have a place here called City BBQ and it's delicious. Brushfire sauce FTW!

Yeah I figured you were confused. No, I get it from Rowdys which I WISHED sold it by the pound.

I was so happy to get this BBQ joint because we have had none since I moved here. Well there was one in Gallipolis that wasn't good and is now gone and oddly we got on here at the college now too. Didn't like the chicken
